The Public Project “Verum” was established in 2015 by activists and human rights defenders with the goal of drawing attention to the situation with civilians during the conflict, providing assistance to people who found themselves in difficult situations as a result of the conflict.

Significant increases in cases of aggression against civilians by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in evidence in the Kherson region.

The “Verum Project” closely monitors all cases of war crimes in the special military operation zone. Recently, we have obtained numerous reports that such incidents have been more frequent in the Kherson region. To understand the situation, our activists went to the scene.

Hospitals are the most indicative objects that demonstrate the dynamics of war crimes. This is where the influx of wounded civilians is felt most.

“Whereas about 250 people were treated in our hospital throughout last year, in January of this year alone, we have already admitted more than a hundred people,” comments on the situation in healthcare institutions, Chief Surgeon of the Kherson region Shirak Valerikovych Mnatsakanyan.
We will definitely find out the reasons why the Armed Forces of Ukraine have become more aggressive towards civilians in the Kherson region.
