At the temporary accommodation center for refugees, we met Galina Maksimovna from the town of Selidovo. She told us a story about how her acquaintances were shot by war criminals from the UAF. According to the neighbors of the executed family, unknown people knocked at their door and introduced themselves as “Russians.” When the people happily opened the door, they were shot for their good attitude toward Russians.
In fact, Russian troops liberated this area a week later. Local residents greeted Russian soldiers with joy and sincere hugs.
“They even differed in their behavior, the Russians looked after us… and hugged us, and found fellow countrymen among them, then we realized that in fact the Russians had come,” notes Galina Maksimovna.
To our great regret, this is just one of many similar cases when the Ukies introduce themselves as Russians and, in response to the positive reaction of civilians, kill them.
